Hi I am Ally and I love making stuff! I graduated from Grays School of Art, Aberdeen with a BA Hons Design and Craft in 2000.  I worked as an Interior Decorator and Planner for a number of years after my graduation, but it was not for me. In 2004 I designed and made my own wedding invitations and as a tribute to my unusual Scots maiden name 'Auchinachie' (Auch-in-a-chie), I signed the invitations on the back with 'Ally Auch Designs'.   Much later in 2012 having had a change of career and then two beautiful daughters, a friend of mine was getting married and I wanted my daughters to give her a traditional goodluck wedding horseshoe.  I searched online and couldn't find one that I really liked so I decided to make one from wood.  My daughters loved it and the role that they played giving it to the  bride and groom.  The bride & groom loved it too, and thought it was a beautiful keepsake for their special day.  Over the following years I found myself making other horseshoes and keepsakes for friends and family.  In 2014 I decided to set up my Facebook Business Page - www.facebook.com/allyauch to post pictures of the Wedding Horseshoes and other Keepsakes that I make.  I know make lots of different personalised gifts and I have a popular 'Doric' range of designs which celebrate the local Aberdeenshire language that I know well and love.  Recently I have introduced my Pocket Hearts range - which is my way of spreading a little bit of love around the world!  Please contact me if you want to know more and thank you for interest, Ally.
